You want to look and feel your best.
You eat right and do exercise, but you still can’t shift those stubborn fat deposits. Aqualyx can help!
Aqualyx, or fat dissolving process, involves a series of small injections that help melt away small localised areas of fat deposits. The fat injection treatment is an effective procedure with minimal discomfort for both men and women.
It helps you to feel good about how you present yourself.
How does Aqualyx™ work?
Aqualyx™ contains deoxycholic acid, a secondary bile acid. With the assistance of bacteria, our body can produce this acid in the liver to aid the digestion of fat.
Prof. Pasquale Motolese utilised the fat-dissolving effect of this acid. The active substance locks on to the fat cell walls and starts to operate, resulting in the cell wall becoming unstable and releasing the fatty acid that is stored within. As a result, the body’s defenses remove cell residue, and the non-attached fatty acids are metabolised and converted into energy.
Which areas of the body can be treated with Aqualyx™?
Used for the dissolution of fat depots, Aqualyx™ can be administered all over the entire body. e.g. Double chin, upper arm, armpits, bra back fat, stomach, hips, waist, inner, outer thighs- saddlebags, buttocks, knees.
How many treatments are required?
The number of treatments varies according to the desired degree of the amendment, the dimensions of the fat depot and the individual reactions of the fat tissue. On average, you will have to expect around 3 to 5 appointments, with 4-week intervals, until you can perceive the results. A treatment with Aqualyx™ does not result in weight loss. Healthy nutrition, as well as an exercise regimen, are an absolute necessity to ensure the success of the treatment.
What does the treatment feel like?
The solution is injected into the fat through a special Aqualyx™ cannula using a unique trained technique. Usually, two injection spots are required per region, with the amount of product used differing according to the area of fat being treated. Lidocaine (a local anaesthetic) can be added to the solution before injecting to improve patient comfort levels. The treatment is relatively painless.
After the treatment
A warm sensation may be felt within the treated area itching, slight burning, oedema, reddening and bruising are all common after effects.
Areas that can be treated:
- Upper and lower abdomen
- Thighs – cellulite
- “Love handles”
- Double chin
Benefits from each injection should be evident within three weeks of the treatment.
